Victoria’s $1.4b arts spend to boost Austalia’s ‘creative capital’

Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “Victoria’s $1.4b arts spend to boost Austalia’s ‘creative capital'” – below is their description.

Premier Daniel Andrews has spruiked the $1.4 billion package handed down to Victoria’s arts precinct in yesterday’s record state budget spend. He said the funding would create 5000 jobs, with work to begin next year. “This is not a cost to the budget, this is a $1.4 billion investment in jobs, in even better content, backing our local creative industries and making sure even more visitors come to our city and state,” Mr Andrews said. “We are the creative capital but we have to make sure we’ve got facilities that match the quality of the creative output of our artists, of our cultural community, of our creative industries. “And that’s what this $1.4 billion will buy every single Victorian.”
