Government will ‘vigorously defend’ Australian wine industry from China’s allegations

Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “Government will ‘vigorously defend’ Australian wine industry from China’s allegations” – below is their description.

Agriculture Minister David Littleproud says there is “absolutely no evidence” Australia is dumping cheap wine in China and the federal government will vigorously defend the nation’s wine industry against the allegations from China. It comes as China has imposed new tariffs of up to 200 per cent on Australian wine amid a re-escalation of trade tensions. The Australian government has expressed “extreme disappointment” with the decision. “There’s absolutely no evidence,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News host Chris Smith. “We will continue to vigorously defend the Australian wine industry against these allegations. “Australian wine is the second-highest point priced wine commodity in China.”
