Martin Johnson speaks ahead of the RBS 6 Nations 2011, with his England side going into Friday’s curtain raiser against Wales in Cardiff as bookmakers’ favourites to lift the tournament.
In his pre-tournament interview, Johnson said of the opening match in Wales:
This (opening match in Wales) is a big game, lets not hide away from that.
We don’t want to, we want to play big games.
We want to play games where everyone’s watching, which they will be for the opener on the Friday night.
I think its a brilliant game to play in, down in Cardiff. Its a great stadium to play in.
Lets go and be excited about it, and go and play rugby down there.
Both teams are under pressure, its how you handle it (that matters).
Its about the game, and not what people say in the build-up to it.
