Manchester United met Arsenal in the Sixth Round of the FA Cup 2011 on Saturday 12th March 2011, at Old Trafford, in a match which had been eagerly anticipated since the Quarter Final draw had been made.
Man Utd progressed to the Semi-Final courtesy of a 2-0 win after goals from Fabio Da Silva on 28 minutes and Wayne Rooney on 49 minutes.
United had much to thank their 40 year old goalkeeper, Edwin van der Sar, for, however, as the big Dutch stopper pulled off a magnificent double-save moments before throwing the ball to the returning Valencia, which ultimately led to the second goal in an absorbing encounter.
