Typhoon Roke is on track to bring gusts of up to 185km per hour to Northern Japan by Wednesday 21st September 2011. The weather front is moving North East at a rate of eighteen knots and is expected to bring heavy rain. Authorities are making plans to maintain public safety in the face of the expected deluge with some residents being asked to evacuate. The storm follows hot on the heels of Severe Tropical Storm Sonca which has now veered off into the North Pacific Ocean.
