Death & dying public engagement work | Academy of Medical Sciences

With an ageing population and demographic changes, the number of people dying each year in the UK is only set to increase. The Academy of Medical Sciences’ new public engagement project on death and dying, ‘The Departure Lounge’, aims to contribute to the growing conversation around death and dying.

By breaking lingering taboos, the Academy hopes to encourage people to share their own thoughts on death and dying, and how thinking ahead can benefit both patients and families.
