A picture has gone viral on Chinese social media showing U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, during a Senate hearing, being met with numerous red hands raised in silent protest. The protest was against a proposal to increase funding to Israel amid its ongoing conflict with Hamas. Why the silent protest? Did the protesters manage to have their voices heard? CGTN’s Liu Xin spoke with Jodie Evans, co-founder of the anti-war organization CODEPINK, who organized the protests.
