RT published this video item, entitled “Puerto Rico | National Guard troops heading to DC for inauguration week” – below is their description.
Soldiers from the Puerto Rican National Guard headed to Washington DC from Muniz Air National Guard Base, in Carolina, on Friday, in order to help with inauguration week security in the US capital.
Some of the over 120 troops bound for Washington DC could be seen preparing their equipment and boarding a US Air Force transport plane at the base some 14 kilometre (9 miles) east of San Juan.
The soldiers are just some of the up to 21,000 National Guard troops authorised by the Department of Defense to assist law enforcement in operations supporting the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden on January 20.
