Polls show Democrat presidential nominee Hillary Clinton edging ahead of her Republican rival Donald Trump. This as the backlash continues over his comments about the parents of an American Muslim soldier killed in Iraq.
In the latest blow, US President Barack Obama has launched a scathing attack on Trump from inside the White House, and asked why Republicans are backing a man he says is woefully unprepared for office.
