Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “‘Not hopeful’ of Western Australia opening by Christmas” – below is their description.
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says there is still a chance Western Australia will be open by Christmas to New South Wales and Victoria but concedes he is not hopeful. “WA Premier Mark McGowan said he would look at whether COVID was in sewage as well as 28 days with no cases, and we know in Liverpool in southwestern Sydney there’s been a detection announced this morning,” Mr Clennell said. “Scott Morrison promised to get the country open by Christmas – with the exception of WA – at press conferences after National Cabinet meetings, on September 4 and again on November 13, and it looks like Australia’s governments have delivered.” Queensland on Wednesday announced from December 1 it would welcome back Victorians, just a day after revealing Greater Sydney would be allowed entry from the same date.
