U.S. President Joe Biden is set to deliver remarks pertaining to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict in Tel Aviv on Wednesday, following a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Biden, on Tuesday, declared the U.S. “stands with Israel” and that it is working with Netanyahu’s government on hostage recovery efforts.

The president confirmed that U.S. nationals are among those who were kidnapped by Hamas. Biden says they are “surging additional military assistance” that includes ammunition, as well as “interceptors to replenish the iron dome.”

Biden says he told Netanyahu if the U.S. were in Israel’s position their response would be “swift, decisive and overwhelming.” Violence in Israel and Gaza has claimed the lives of thousands in the last 11 days.

Hamas terrorists carried out an unprecedented, multi-front attack on Israel, firing thousands of rockets, killing hundreds and even taking many hostage on Oct. 7.
