    Indonesia recorded 14,536 new coronavirus infections on June 21, 2021, its highest daily figure yet. The total Covid-19 infection caseload in the country surpassed 2 million on the same day. Authorities announced plans to tighten coronavirus measures amid the latest surge fuelled by the Delta variant, which was first found in India.
