Eleven children receiving treatment to help them deal with the trauma of war were killed by Israeli airstrikes on Gaza in recent days.

The Norwegian Refugee Council said the children were aged between five and 15 and were killed in their homes in densely populated areas.

More than 60 children have died since fighting between Palestinian militants and Israel began over a week ago.

Israel says it does everything it can to avoid killing children in military strikes on Gaza.
