Bright Minded: Live with Miley Cyrus – Anitta, Ashley Longshore, Zoe Kravitz, Diplo – Episode 13

In honor of April Fool’s Day, Miley hosted BRIGHT MINDED: Live With Miley as her alter ego, Ashley O. She chatted with viewers about connecting through artistry during this uneasy time. Her first guest, Anitta, spoke to her creative process behind her upcoming album, and what she’s doing to stay “lit” at home – working out and cooking her favorite vegan Brazilian meals are at the top of her list.

New Orleans-based artist Ashley Longshore joined the show to discuss finding your inner creativity. In partnership with the Happy Hippie Foundation, Ashley created free downloadable coloring sheets, featuring fans’ favorite, DJ Emu. You can download the sheets here. She and Miley discussed art’s meditative qualities and how we can use this quiet time at home to find our own artistic voice. Ashley also showed viewers how to make a fun and easy April Fool’s Day prank at home.

Next, Miley introduced Alexander Wang via FaceTime so they could surprise the next guest, Zoe Kravitz. Zoe called in from her home in London and talked about how she’s staying bright minded; during this transition, she has found joy in the everyday things she doesn’t usually have time to reflect on – such as the art of making her bed up with her husband, or laying on the floor at 2am listening to music. Her advice for others right now is to be gentle with ourselves and to let ourselves ride the rollercoaster of emotions – we’re all in this together.

Lastly, Miley and Diplo had fun remixing the ‘Bright Minded’ theme song. He told viewers that being home has introduced him to different forms of inspiration; he is using this time to experiment with new music and is learning how to play the guitar.
