It’s been one of Coronation Street’s most shocking storylines of recent years – the tragic tale of Yasmeen, who has been abused, controlled and bullied by evil husband Geoff. Since she hit back and struck Geoff with a broken wine bottle, Yasmeen has been in HMP Weatherfield, on an attempted murder charge – and her trial starts next week. As Yasmeen’s friends rally round, Geoff is desperate to take back control by dropping the charges – but will Yasmeen fall for his lies?

Corrie’s Shelley King is with us to tell us about the drama to come, the toll of playing such traumatic scenes, and how her partner Trilby has helped her cope. She will also be sharing the very special way she is trying to keep her late mum’s memory alive.
