Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, 39, who had breast cancer, died on Sunday 5th September 2021. She revealed in August 2020 that she had been diagnosed with the disease, which had spread to other parts of her body. Her mother Marie announced the news on Instagram, describing her “beautiful” daughter as “a bright, shining star”. Earlier this year Sarah revealed doctors had told her she would not see another Christmas.
Former ‘The Rivals’ judge, Pete Waterman joins Ben and Susanna to pay tribute and recalls his memories of the former Girls Aloud star. Dr Hilary Jones explains the early signs and symptoms of breast cancer and advises people to see their GP if they’re concerned and says that cancer cases are prioritised so people will be able to see their GP face to face.
