Andy Murray (5) has reached the Men’s Singles Semi-Final of the 2011 Australian Open Tennis Championship, by defeating Ukrainian Alexandr Dolgopolov by three sets to one.
Fifth seed, Murray lost his first set of the tournament, when dropping the third set on a tie-breaker, against this tricky opponent – who knocked out Swede Robin Soderling in the Fourth Round – en route to winning this quarter final 7-5 6-3 6-7 (3-7) 6-3.
Scottish Andy Murray, who lost last year’s Australian Open Final against Roger Federer in straight sets, looked, once more, in the form of his life as he defeated his able unseeded opponent.
Murray will face the winner of the Quarter-Final between Spanish compatriots Rafael Nadal (1) and David Ferrer (7).

Nadal is the second male player after Andre Agassi to complete the singles Career Golden Slam, as well as the second male player after Mats Wilander to have won at least two Grand Slams on all three surfaces (grass, hard court and clay).
