Dysart Dynamo takes his career record to four from four and takes the step up to Grade Two level in his stride with a relentless and powerful success on deep ground in the Moscow Flyer Novice Hurdle for jockey Paul Townend, trainer Willie Mullins and owner/breeder Eleanor Manning.
Mullins has won this race with the likes of Vautour, Douvan and Min in recent years and Dysart Dynamo joins some illustrious former stablemates with an identical front-running success in this Punchestown, with Townend positively beaming after pulling up his mount at the end of the contest.
There is little doubt the Cheltenham Festival will be next now if Dysart Dynamo is fit and well enough to travel in March, and after this victory he is 5/1 for the Sky Bet Supreme Novices’ Hurdle. Would that Festival curtain-raiser make greater appeal than the Ballymore Novices’ Hurdle over a further distance?
