UK & Irish Horse Racing Tips, Wednesday 10 June 2015

There are forty three races scheduled to take place in the UK and Ireland on the afternoon and evening of Wednesday 10th June 2015.

The afternoon sees flat racing in Britain on the turf at Brighton, Beverley and Haydock.

There will be an evening of flat turf racing at Hamilton in Scotland and Fairyhouse in Ireland while an evening of all weather flat racing is scheduled to take place at England’s Kempton Park.

Best Four Bets

Yesterday saw another 50% strike rate, with winners coming in at SPs of 9/4 and 8/11.

Today, as ever, The Global Herald ratings experts have analysed the cards to make selections in every race (below) and also to suggest the Best Four Bets of the day based on the four horses with the best implied chances on the stopwatch, when set against today’s competition.

The first choice for today runs in the 19:20 event at Hamilton, Moon Over Rio, which we select owing to an excellend performance at Ripon last time for the same trainer / jockey combination of Ben Haslam and Andrew Elliot. Interestingly, the last three times this pair have combined with this horse, it has not placed outside the first three. Current form suggests a place is well within this gelding’s grasp today, and a price of around 9/2 generally makes an each way play a reasonable prospect.

Next up, we like Erik The Red in the 17:00 at Beverley. This horse met a good opponent last time out, and there is nothing to suggest that today’s opposition are anything like as good. Even money seems a good price.

Jupiter Custos is our third choice for the day, in the 14:20 at Brighton. This Richard Hannon trained colt has had a couple of runs to work things out, and produced a good performance last time out to show today’s conditions should suit. A price of 11/10 seems reasonable, and Richard Hughes is the right man to steer.

The final choice for the day is over in Ireland, at Fairyhouse, where we think Frozen Lake has what it takes to win the 19:30 maiden. If this gelding can repeat the form of his second at Cork two runs ago, he looks to have what it takes to lift this race, now back over what appears to be a preferred 7 furlongs. 4/1 reflects the chances of improvement the rest of the field may show.
