Shocker! Jockey banned for 15 days after extraordinary ride in France

Johnny Charron was banned for 15 days after this “cool” looking ride ended with blushes. You can see, in the video above, from At The Races, that his mount – on the near side – in the finish looks to be cruising towards a victory, but there can be no excuse for not riding any sort of finish, when you get beaten by a tired-looking opponent… the stewards, clearly, agreed.

It isn’t the first time, and won’t be the last, that this sort of thing has happened in sport. Sometimes you can be too cute.

At The Races published this video item, entitled “Shocker! Jockey banned for 15 days after extraordinary ride in France” – below is their description.

Have you ever seen anything like this?

Jockey Johnny Charron was banned for 15 days after this ride at Cagnes-sur-Mer, making very little effort in the closing stages of the contest…
