Racing TV published this video item, entitled “ONE MAN brings it home in style in the 1996 King George VI Chase from Rough Quest and Barton Bank” – below is their description.
A second victory in the King George for the great One Man, who had already taken the Charlie Hall, and then went on to win the Pillar Chase at Cheltenham before once again failing to see out the trip in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The popular and massively talented grey won 20 of 35 races, most memorably including the Queen Mother Champion Chase in 1998. He was trained by Gordon Richards (who called him his “little bouncing ball”) and owned by John Hales.
