06:39 Post-race interview with Gordon Elliott

Fury Road has always had a high reputation and delivered on that at the Leopardstown Christmas Festival with a commanding success over his experienced and high-class stablemate Run Wild Fred in the Grade 1 Neville Hotels Novice Chase for trainer Gordon Elliott and owners Gigginstown House Stud.

Fury Road boasted some very strong novice hurdle form two seasons ago – including a neck defeat by Monkfish in the Albert Bartlett at the Cheltenham Festival – and the lightly-raced chaser could very feasibly rank higher over fences on this evidence.
