West Ham Vs Man City Premier League 2022/23 Highlights
Manchester City got off to a fine start to their 2022/23 title defence in the Premier League with an impressive 2-0 win away at West Ham. Their new signing, Erling Haaland, scored both goals, by winning and converting a penalty, through a good burst of pace. His second came after timing an impeccable run onto a slide-rule Kevin de Bruyne through ball, before opening his body up and slotting cooly home with apparently all the time in the world.
Haaland’s strength and pace always looked like it would suit the Premier League, and City already will be thinking they have done great business: they look the complete package going forwards, with Grealish and Foden making solid contributions, with the former almost setting up Haaland for a hat-trick with a good run and cross which the new boy was unable to head home.
It’s looking ominous for the rest, on opening weekend, as City are now arguably stronger than last term, particularly going forwards.
