Bundesliga title-holders FC Bayern München faced struggling Borussia Mönchengladbach on Matchday 11. The record champions dominated their opponents, and led at the break even though midfield legend Bastian Schweinsteiger missed from the penalty spot just before half-time. In the second half, Mönchengladbach turned the tables, taking the lead with goals from Marco Reus and substitute Igor de Camargo. It was only thanks to a late goal by skipper Philipp Lahm that Bayern secured a point in a six-goal thriller. In the end, it wasn’t enough as Borussia Dortmund went on to take the 2010/11 title.
