Cincinnati Bengals tight end Drew Sample has been ruled out for the rest of the Bengals match-up against the Dallas Cowboys after suffering a knee injury in the second quarter.
Sample, who came to the Bengals in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Washington, is in his fourth season with the team, having started 24 of 43 games played before Sunday’s game with Dallas and entered with one reception for two yards. Against the Cowboys, Sample had a single reception for minus four yards and the injury.
Mitch Wilcox will now be the Bengals’ backup to Hayden Hurst.
