NATO’s Deputy Secretary General is set to visit Israel on 15th – 16th January 2014.
Ambassador Alexander Vershbow will meet with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr Ze’ev Elkin, the Defence Minister Moshe Ya’alon, the National Security Advisor, Mr Yossi Cohen and other top officials.
Ambassador Vershow is scheduled to give a speech at Israel’s Institute for National Security Studies. He will speak on “The future of Missile Defence: A NATO perspective” to delegates at a Missile Defence conference there. Attendees will be discussing approaches to missile defence and the related impact on regional stability, especially in relation to Iran, Turkey and Russia.
