Michele Bachmann has pulled out of the race to become the Republican nomination for President after a poor showing in the Iowa Caucus. The result was a disappointment for the former Congresswoman from Minnesota who had won the earlier Iowa Straw Poll.
In a statement, Bachmann thanked her campaign team and God, saying “we ran it with integrity and …we made an important contribution”.
The current front runners for the Republican nomination are Mitt Romney, Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich.
