Many young South Korean have been struggling to get a Covid-19 vaccine appointment amid a surge in new infections. The country has seen more than 1,000 new daily cases since July 6, with a record high of 1,615 on July 13. The government has been prioritising vaccinating older and more vulnerable people. On paper, South Korea has ordered enough doses to inoculate its population twice, but has been impeded by supply shortages and shipment delays.
