The Government’s chief scientific adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance has told the Prime Minister that there is “absolutely no reason” to change the advice for people to work from home if they can.
It comes after Boris Johnson urged people to go back to their workplace if they can do so safely.
Meanwhile some of the local lockdown restrictions in Leicester are being eased. However pubs and restaurants there remain closed.
Leicester has the highest number of coronavirus cases in the UK.
