White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is expected to hold a briefing on Wednesday. McEnany started last Thursday’s media briefing by playing CCTV footage of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi visiting a hair salon in San Francisco, Ca. and said “she was not working in good faith to make a deal for the American people” when she went indoors to a hair salon. McEnany demanded that Pelosi apologizes “for the American people” as she wants small businesses to shut down but “only reopen for her convenience.” Pelosi said Wednesday she takes responsibility for trusting the word of a San Francisco hair salon that it was OK to come in for a solo visit — even though the city still does not allow indoor beauty services because of the coronavirus pandemic. McEnany is likely to face questions over the ongoing controversy surrounding comments allegedly made by Trump regarding military members, as reported by The Atlantic with several details confirmed by other news organizations. She may also face questioning over a report Tuesday that the Department of Justice made the unprecedented decision to take over the president’s defence in a defamation lawsuit brought by E. Jean Carroll, a columnist who last year accused Trump of sexually assaulting her more than two decades ago.
