When Airbnb goes Wrong- BBC News

May Wung rented her flat to a woman visiting London, her home was trashed after she rented it for one night using Airbnb.

In the video (above) Rickin Majithia from the BBC’s Asian Network spoke to Wung, who described that several precious items were stolen from her house, which was also left trashed, stained and vomited on.

In the video, Ms Wung describes how she has suffered thousands of poinds worth of damage to her property and possessions renting out her house for 1 night, in a move which would have netted her “probably, less than a hundred [pounds]” demonstrating well the difficult risk versus reward trade-off homeowners take when allowing a complete stranger access to a family home through services such as Airbnb.
