Sky News published this video item, entitled “Watch live: Russians shoot down drone in Moscow” – below is their description.
Live from Moscow after the city’s Mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, said a drone fell in western Moscow after it was shot down by air defence systems.
Sobyanin said no-one was hurt when the drone fell near Karamyshevskaya embankment and that no serious damage was caused.
Russian social media channels shared videos of what they said was a drone flying low above Moscow and of smoke rising above the Moscow river. The videos could not be verified by Associated Press.
Flights were also halted Friday at two Russian airports after reports of drone attacks. Flights have now resumed at Vnukovo airport, one of Moscow’s busiest and in Kaluga airport, southwest of Moscow. It’s the third day in a row Vnukovo airport has halted flights with the previous suspensions also blamed on drone attacks.
