Dominic Raab faced a grilling from MPs of the foreign affairs committee on Wednesday as they sought to understand “what he’s done in the last four months” to help Afghanistan.
The Foreign Secretary appeared during an extraordinary session from 2pm.
Tom Tugendhat MP, the committee chairman, earlier told ITV’s Good Morning Britain that he praised the work of other foreign ministers such as Germany’s Heiko Maas, who has been building alliances with counterparts in central Asia as part of a longer-term strategy for dealing with the geopolitical consequences of the Taliban’s control of Afghanistan.
