The US and South Korea flew fighter jets in the latest round of joint air drills on February 1, 2023. The exercise came two days after US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin met South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and the country’s defence minister, vowing to strengthen military drills and security cooperation amid rising threats by North Korea.
