The US has seen around one COVID-19 death for every 4,400 Americans, which is nearly 60 times worse than what we’ve seen here in Australia, but despite the grim figures US officials are scrambling to get Americans back to work. Food banks are running out of provisions and unemployment is expected to reach levels not seen since the Great Depression in the 1930s.
