The Liberal Democrats have pulled off one of the biggest swings of the 2010 UK General Election by taking the Redcar seat from Labour, with a swing of over 21% from the 2005 result.
The Liberal Democrat candidate, Ian Swales, increased his Party’s vote by 25% from the last election, taking most of these votes directly from Labour, who’s vote fell by a huge 18.6%, handing a comfortable 5,214 majority to the Lib Dem candidate.
