UK Election 2019: How likely is Russian interference? – BBC Newsnight

The government has denied claims it is suppressing a report on alleged Russian interference in UK democracy until after the general election.

Critics say the publication of a report by Parliament’s Intelligence Security Committee (ISC), is being deliberately delayed until after December’s general election.

Chancellor Sajid Javid said the timescale for the publication of the report was “perfectly normal”.

The report looks at a wide range of Russian activity – ranging from traditional espionage to subversion – and not just in the UK.
