Global News published this video item, entitled “Trudeau faces tough questions on vaccine delays in House of Commons” – below is their description.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau faced tough questions from Official Opposition Leader Erin O’Toole Tuesday on the frequent delays in vaccine shipments as provinces — including Ontario and B.C. – are being hit hard by the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“He announces future shots months from now, the same press conferences he announces delays for the next few weeks. The provinces are desperate for more vaccine supply. Where is it?.” O’Toole questioned.
Trudeau assured parliament his government’s plan is working to secure more vaccines for provinces.
But Ontario Premier Doug Ford has already started reaching out to consulates of international allies to independently secure vaccines for his province.
And the government of Manitoba has struck a deal with North Dakota to start vaccinating commercial truckers crossing the border from Manitoba to the U.S.
The federal government has delivered just over thirteen million doses of vaccines to provinces and territories — ten million of those have been administered across the country.
