Trial opens on Germany’s worst post-war anti-Semitic attack

The trial of a man accused of committing the worst anti-Semitic attack in post-War Germany began on Tuesday. The accused is charged with 13 offences, including two cases of murder, and nine of attempted murder, relating to the attack on a synagogue in Halle, in the country’s central region.
