Legendary reggae and ska band Toots and the Maytals have given us some of the biggest hits in reggae history. Sonic pioneers who helped bring Jamaican music into the mainstream, they’re still going strong after some 55 years in the business. Frontman Frederick “Toots” Hibbert drops by the Encore set for a chat, and also treats us to his soulful vocal stylings with an acoustic rendition of the group’s 1969 hit, “Monkey Man”.
