Thousands protest across US on Earth Day

Tens of thousands of people have marked World Earth Day with rallies across the US against budget cuts to environmental programmes.

The March for Science took place in about 600 cities on Saturday.

The US government has proposed cutting spending on efforts to tackle climate change.
