CGTN published this video item, entitled “The world ahead 2024: CGTN Dialogue with John Mearsheimer on China-U.S. ties, Gaza, Ukraine” – below is their description.
2024 has not begun well – the Ukraine-Russia conflict lingers, the Israeli-Palestinian war faces a high risk of escalation, and the U.S. continues its containment towards China both in trade and tech. In all these three important geopolitical issues in the world today, one country stands out – America. As the U.S. welcomes a new round of presidential elections in 2024, what global role will it play and what changes will it bring? CGTN anchor Xu Qinduo talked with Professor John Mearsheimer, a renowned realist in international relations theory.
