To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations, the documentary “The Story of Time: China and Malaysia” adopts the view of the Malaysian Ambassador to China, Datuk Zainuddin and explores the interaction and communication between China and Malaysia throughout history, from the Ping-Pong Diplomacy to the theater show in the ancient city of Malacca, from the Journey to the West stage show played by elementary students in Malaysia to new archaeological discoveries, from the phenomenal popular Malaysian fruit in China, Musang King durian to the “Two Countries, Two Parks” project. The stories of the ordinary people and their genuine emotion portrait how China and Malaysia communicate to, learn from, and step forward hand-in-hand with each other to a brighter future.

The durian is the edible fruit of several tree species belonging to the genus Durio. There are 30 recognised Durio species, at least nine of which produce edible fruit, with over 300 named varieties in Thailand and 100 in Malaysia, as of 1987. It is native to Sumatra and Borneo.

The durian is distinctive for its large size, strong odour, and thorn-covered rind.
