The world’s most impressive collection of 20th century toys and railway memorabilia is set to go under the hammer.

The Leuralla Toy and Railway Museum, in the Blue Mountains, closed its doors earlier this year after almost 4 decades. The late Chris Evatt, along with his wife Elizabeth opened his grandfather’s mansion to the public in 1983 the pair scoured the globe for rare pieces to add to the collection.

Thousands of items will go to auction this weekend including iconic pieces from the great toy manufacturers of the last century such as Marklin, Lehmann, Bing and Dinky-Toy.
