A mudlside tore through El Castaño a week after a massive landslide devastated the nearby locality of Las Tejerías in Aragua state. Venezuelan president, Nicolas Maduro, told state television at least three people died in the mudlside. ‘I’m being informed that the damages in El Castaño, in Maracay [where the landslide occurred] are serious,’ Maduro said on state television from Las Tejerías, where the mudslide killed at least 54 people a week earlier. Locals shared videos of cars being dragged by the current of mud and water that left houses damaged
