Global News published this video item, entitled “Thai protests: Students demonstrate against “dinosaur” government” – below is their description.
Thailand students gathered in Bangkok on Saturday at a protest against the country’s government, calling for education reforms and demanding the “dinosaur” government be removed and the monarchy’s power be curbed. Some dressed up in inflatable dinosaur costumes as part of the effort to drive the message of what many say is an archaic educational system. Saturday’s demonstration was the latest since July that has seen demonstrators making three demands: the removal of former junta leader Prayuth Chan-ocha as prime minister, a new constitution and reforms to the monarchy of King Maha Vajiralongkorn. It was also the first major gathering since the prime minister said police would use all laws against protesters.
