Sydney is just hours away from the most severe lockdown we’ve seen. All businesses that are not deemed critical, including construction sites, will be ordered to close. And 800,000 people in Sydney’s southwest will be cut off from the rest of the city.

The NSW Premier was forced to act after another steep rise in positive COVID-19 cases. 111 infections and 1 new death. Community numbers also remain stubbornly high.

Gladys Berejiklian says it’s the biggest challenge our state has ever faced.
