Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava gave an update on Wednesday on day seven of the search and rescue mission at the site of the Surfside, Fla., condo building collapse. The mayor said four additional victims have been recovered, bringing the death toll to 16.

Miami-Dade Assistant Fire Chief Raide Jadallah told family members at a morning briefing that rescuers found the bodies Tuesday night. He said relatives have not yet been identified.

More than 140 people are still unaccounted for.

The cause of the collapse remains under investigation.

President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden planned to travel to Surfside, Fla. on Thursday.
