The World Economic Forum’s Summer Davos kicks off in Tianjin from June 27 to 29. In a world beset by slow post-pandemic economic recovery and rampant inflation, the theme of this year’s Summer Davos is “Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy.” CGTN’s Tian Wei has an exclusive interview with World Economic Forum President Børge Brende. Brende says the Chinese economy still has huge potential, as it is currently responsible for 35 percent of global growth. The Chinese economy is also a leader in renewable energy, electric vehicles and high-speed rail. He also explains that political rhetoric in the media does not match the globalized world we live in. Brende warns that decoupling between major economies could shave off 7 percent of GDP growth.
