ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “State premiers frustrated with vaccine rollout | 7.30” – below is their description.
With COVID-19 cases in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, there’s growing pressure on the federal government to deliver more Pfizer doses to the states.
The AstraZeneca vaccine is now limited to over-60s and the health advice is that it’s very safe. Even under 60, complications are very, very rare.
But shifting the age limit from 50 to 60 means more Pfizer supply is needed and some premiers are clearly frustrated with how that’s going.
Norman Swan reports.
